FYI: If your camping out for week long you may set up your tents the day before and have until the day after the event to take them down.

Tents PDF Print E-mail

To all,

KGE members have been coming to me and asking if they can set-up their non-period tents where ever they want on the field.  My official reply is this ... No.

1) I am going out today (Wednesday, June 11th at 3:00pm) to meet with Connie Blair and Andy (the inspector from London Township) to acquire our temporary camping permit for this event as we do every year for this event.

2) There is no camp fire in tent city.  This has been done at the request of the campers in the past.  They have told me that they do not want people collecting in tent city (as camp fires tend to support).  Tent city is for sleeping not gaming.

3) All non-period tents will be set-up in tent city.  Overflow will be handled by me on a case by case basis.

4) If you want to set-up a non-period tent elsewhere, then talk to me first to get approval.  I will suggest that exceptions may be granted given the members ability to camouflage it so that it will not distract from game play.

5) Overall, I will not deny a members ability to camp out at the event and I will work with everyone to make sure they get accommodated.  Just know up front what my expectations are for the group and standard game play.

Thanks,
Tim Schafer - BLD 1st
